Story of the Holy Family Mission, This special documentary takes you through the dream of the Holy Family Mission by Bob and Penny Lord. This program has been made for you; our donors and benefactors. We wanted you to see the progress as we have tracked it, from the very beginning, in October 1999, when we laid out the property, to the groundbreaking on November, 1999, through nine months of construction, to the Grand Opening on September 23, 2000. Special footage includes the Welcome and blessing from Mother Angelica, who wished she could be with us, as well as the special ceremony of the bells, and the groundbreaking of the replica of the Holy House of Loreto being constructed at the site. We were also blessed to have been able to show you the beginning of the construction of the Holy House of Loreto. As we said, the digging and forming began two days before Advent, 2000. The actual construction will begin after the Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, January 1, 2001. Holy Family Mission is a work of our Lord in progress. Future plans are in the planning stages, for a large conference center, Way of the Cross, Chapels for the mysteries of the Rosary along with meditation paths through the breathtaking site. You have been a major part in this project. You name is listed on the walls of the mission as Guardian Angels of the Mission. This video is a small thank you for all you've done.
